Manu Agarwal
Manu grew up in India and moved to the United States in her 20s for work. She lives in the Greater Boston area and enjoys working with various non-profits in the surrounding community focusing on small business mentoring, mental health accessibility and educational and social development equity.
Manu is Chief of Staff to CEO at Beacon Mobility, a national high-needs transportation company. In her current role, Manu supports the company's executive leadership team overseeing cross-functional projects that align with the company's strategic goals. In addition to that she also leads their Mergers and Acquisitions team working with the Chief Development Officer and manages key aspects of the acquisition process including building the pipeline, managing relationships with sellers and leading diligence, closing & post-closing activities.
Manu started her career at Deloitte in Audit and Assurance and then worked at KPMG as part of their Deal Advisory and Strategy team.
Manu lives north of Boston and loves going on walks with her spouse, watching sunsets together, and spending time outdoors with a book & music playing in her ears. Manu is a vegetarian and enjoys trying new cuisines and places to eat.
Malik Gomes
Malik was born and raised in the City of Boston, and he now works as a Director of Youth Career Services for a Boston-based non-profit agency. He has an educational background from Fitchburg State University in Criminal Justice as well as Juvenile Justice which supports his work with proven-risk youth and adults, as well as returning citizens through skill development and career exploration and enrichment opportunities.
In addition to his advocacy and work with youth and adults, Malik also has a deep passion for building relationships and partnerships that support the needs of community members and spaces. As he often states, “ A closed mouth can’t be fed.” and this is something that he lives by in his work to advocate for, support and develop those that he works with. As someone who was raised in the same communities and systems that we serve to improve, these efforts are not just a job but a responsibility.
Beyond his professional work and experience, Malik is committed to empowering others and breaking barriers that stifle or limit the success and growth of individuals and the communities that they belong to. He is a proud Bostonian who loves sports, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. You may also find him around your favorite cafes and restaurants with a fresh iced coffee.
Malcolm Mayfield
Malcolm moved to Boston amidst the first COVID Summer seeking change and opportunity in our great city. As a Board Member of Everyday Boston, he is dedicated to fostering understanding, impact, perspective through storytelling and collaborative engagement.
With an educational background in political science and emergency management, Malcolm focuses on creating inclusive and transformative spaces that transcend the classical paradigms of both communication and leadership, especially where dialogue among diverse voices is at the forefront. Malcolm has made significant contributions to community service, such as planning for the deployment of the nation’s Strategic National Vaccine Stockpile, diffusing innovation spaces at MIT, and elevating women of color in virtual business spaces. He now brings that experience to Everyday Boston seeking to develop solutions that enhance communication, equity, and visibility for our community’s most vulnerable populations.
Beyond his professional work, Malcolm is committed to mentoring future leaders, staying up to date on the political landscape, cooking 🧑🍳, and being loved by his longtime cat companion, Lelouch (AKA, "HEY").
Pallavi Singh
Pallavi was born in England and raised in the Boston area, where she started her first company while attending Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Her non-profit company, designed to get quality, reused books in the hands of underserved children, lasted only a few years but set Pallavi on her path of entrepreneurship.
She later founded Beacon Innovation Group to revolutionize the way Intellectual Property attorneys use research to make decisions on licensing, litigation and novel innovations. She sold Beacon to Anaqua, a Boston-based IP software company, and worked on the Product team to integrate their service solutions into Anaqua’s software platforms.
A longtime resident of Back Bay, Pallavi now lives in Canton, and spends her free time cooking, mentoring founders, and teaching entrepreneurship to teens.
Darris Jordan
Darris is a proud Dorchester resident who works for the City of Boston. He has a background in community engagement and partnership building, which has reminded him again and again of the power of what community can do.
Darris’ passion for service and belief in the power of connection initially drew him to Everyday Boston. He is humbled to be a part of an organization bringing people across the city together to build and strengthen relationships using the power of storytelling: "A table can't stand with no legs- it needs support."
