Willie Osgood

“I would love to highlight my dad, who recently passed. He was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1945 and passed September 2022.

I learned many things from my dad, but one thing that I live by today is what he taught me when I was about 7.

He said never hate a race of people for the bad actions of one or a few. He said there are good black and white folks and there are bad black and white folks. He said you (me) should treat people the way you want to be treated. He said respect all people and treat them with respect and kindness.

This has shaped my world view even in the midst of so much hate. I will carry forth this Legacy, his Legacy.

Thank you Dad for being a great father and mentor. We love you always and forever.”
