If there's anyone Mosae Kim admires, it's his father, Sop Kim, who came to the United States from Korea with several dollars in his pocket, and later opened Alpha Omega, a celebrated sneaker store, in Dudley Square.

"Even though he’s living the American dream, he’s always humble. He’s always here, Monday through Saturday, at that register, just standing there, ringing people up. He’s a hard worker. That’s something I learned from him. He never forgets the struggle he had to go through."
